FedEx: e-commerce delivery
FedEx has expanded e-commerce delivery options for retailers with FedEx Extra Hours.
It is a service that allows participating retailers to fulfill e-commerce orders into the evening and receive late pickups from FedEx Express, with local next-day delivery and two-day shipping to any address in the continental United States.
FedEx Extra Hours is available to select customers and allows retailers to extend overnight order cut-off times by five to eight hours, and some as late as midnight, depending on their current order fulfillment process.
Now, FedEx OnSite, its retail convenience network, uses third-party retailers to receive and hold packages for FedEx customers.
The FedEx OnSite network has grown to include nearly 17,000 Walgreens, Dollar General and Albertsons stores, in addition to its approximately 2,000 FedEx Office locations.
In addition to enabling an «easy return and delivery experience» for shoppers, the FedEx OnSite network is positioned to serve as a «buy online, pick up in store» network for small and mid-sized merchants without physical locations.

The company has also added FedEx Returns technology to the Walgreens retail network, which enables in-store printing of return shipping labels and eliminates the need to include a return label on each package.
FedEx Delivery Manager allows U.S. residential customers to customize home deliveries to fit their schedule by providing a variety of options for scheduling delivery dates, locations and times.
In addition, FedEx Returns Technology, a comprehensive returns management solution, gives high-volume merchants and e-retailers complete visibility into returns and an easy way to track shipments, manage inventory, analyze return trends and make more informed decisions based on shopper preferences.
In 2023, the company launched FedEx Consolidated Returns in the U.S., an easy, low-priced e-commerce solution for low-weight returns facilitated through supply chain services offered by FedEx Logistics and FedEx Office.
