Grupo Lala achieved 10 consecutive years of sales growth, reaching a record 100,677 million pesos in 2024.
With 39,000 employees, the company is one of the leading food companies in Latin America, with a dominant position in milk, yogurt and dairy products.
The company operates 25 production plants, 145 distribution centers, and 6,100 distribution units.
Grupo Lala
Grupo Lala began operations in 1949 in Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico. That same year, the Unión de Crédito de Productores de Leche de Torreón (Torreón Milk Producers’ Credit Union) was born. It was an association of local dairy farmers. Its objective was to improve the quality and distribution of milk in the region.

The company operates in Mexico, Brazil and the United States and its fleet distributes more than 600 products to more than 578,000 points of sale.
At the end of December 2024, Grupo Lala generated operating income of Ps. 7,858 million and EBITDA of Ps. 11,479 million.
Grupo Lala offers a wide variety of dairy products. It does so under recognized brands such as LALA, Nutri and Vigor. In addition, it has more than 56 brands in different categories. These include milk, yoghurt, cheese, cream, desserts and juices.
According to Kantar World Panel, the LALA and Nutri brands are very popular in Mexico. In fact, they rank second and sixth among the most chosen consumer brands.
In Brazil, Grupo Lala operates Vigor. It also markets other leading brands such as Danubio, Faixa Azul, Leco and Amelia. There it focuses on yoghurt, cheese, butter and other derivatives.
Since 2000, Grupo Lala has experienced a period of accelerated growth. This progress was both organic and through acquisitions. Among the businesses acquired were production assets and well-known brands. For example, Nutrileche (now redesigned as Nutri), Mileche, Los Volcanes and Gelatinas Art were acquired.
