With an investment of more than 100 million pesos, Grupo Jaguar Ingenieros Constructores ventures into the high-tech agricultural production sector with pepper exports to the United States, Canada and Saudi Arabia.
The company Huerta Agro Jaguar, recently created and a new member of the Grupo Jaguar Ingenieros Constructores, received this investment and began activities in October 2019.
The establishment of this agricultural development is in a region with an agricultural vocation in the central area of the State of Mexico, in the municipality of San Bartolo Morelos.
“Huerta Agro Jaguar is a 100% Mexican company dedicated to growing vegetables, currently specializing in peppers by means of hydroponics in high-tech greenhouses, with state-of-the-art systems in terms of irrigation, climate control, heating and protection of the environment” , commented Moisés Zecua Muñoz, president of the Gupo Jaguar Ingenieros Constructores and owner of the Huerta Agro Jaguar.

Grupo Jaguar Ingenieros Constructores is a company with almost 20 years of experience in different areas, mainly in the construction sector, focused on developing infrastructure projects.
Currently, the company‘s workforce has 600 workers in the construction sector, where it operates segments such as Highway Infrastructure, Precast Elements, Ready-Mix Concrete, Production of Aggregates and Asphalt Mixes.

“We are committed to this investment in the agro-industrial sector, and today despite the crisis that the world is experiencing due to the coronavirus (Covid-19), we made a new investment by buying cutting-edge equipment for the pepper harvest, from which we managed to obtain a excellent export quality to very demanding markets such as the United States, Canada and Saudi Arabia, “added Zecua Muñoz.
Huerta Agro Jaguar has an area of 4.5 hectares, which obtained a yield in the first production cycle of 1,000 tons, representing a productivity of 22.22 kilos x m2.
The company’s goal is to achieve a production of 32 kilos per square meter and 1,400 tons in a 10-month cycle.
“Our agricultural sector is an essential activity and that is why we do not skimp on investing in equipment and human capital. The Huerta Agro Jaguar has a highly trained and experienced Mexican agricultural engineer at the forefront of its operation so that, in our first year , we can export the best production ”, Zecua Múñoz confided.
The monthly production amounts to 5,500 boxes, equivalent to 100 tons, all for export. Specifically, Huerta Agro Jaguar generates 68 direct and 40 indirect jobs.
Jaguar Ingenieros Constructores also integrates companies in the education sector, with private education establishments at the preschool, primary and secondary levels.
