Grupo Lala’s investments were US$3.847 billion in 2024, an increase of 10.9% over 2023.
In the last seven years, the company invested a total of US$17.376 billion. This implies an average annual investment of US$2.482 billion.
Grupo Lala is a multinational company. It has operations in Mexico, the United States, Brazil and Central America. It markets more than 56 brands in different categories, including milks, yogurts, cheeses, creams, desserts and juices, among others.
From the field to the shelf, it also has a vertical integration model, it controls the entire process.
Grupo Lala’s investments
In 2024, Grupo Lala earmarked 3.847 billion pesos for capital investments. This figure corresponds to Capex for capacity expansion and maintenance. Of the total, Ps. 2,345 million were focused on property, plant and equipment. On the other hand, Ps. 1.502 billion were used for leasing vehicles, machinery and equipment. Together, this represents 3.8% of sales.
Investments were divided into two major items: growth and maintenance. In turn, they were distributed in four key areas: distribution, marketing, production and administration.
With respect to property, plant and equipment, Lala 100 production was expanded with a new line at the Laguna Industrial Complex in Mexico. The yogurt lines were also strengthened. In the Bajío region, investments were made in lines for flavored milk and Ultra Edge products. In addition, new refrigerators were acquired.

Water management
As part of its water management actions, Grupo Lala invested 28.8 million pesos. This amount was used to expand and install water treatment plants at its production centers in La Laguna and Irapuato.
In the area of energy, the company invested 59 million pesos. The resource was used in its cogeneration plant in La Laguna. Thanks to this, the company was able to generate and consume green energy with a lower environmental impact.
