San Dimas Mine
From July to September 2021, the San Dimas plant processed 214,205 tons with average silver and gold grades of 289 g / t and 3.14 g / t, respectively.
First Majestic Silver expects silver and gold grades to increase in the fourth quarter, as a significant high-grade area within the Central Block’s Jessica vein came online in September.
Also, silver and gold recoveries during the quarter averaged 95 and 96%, respectively.
During the quarter, the company continued to extract mineralized material from the development of the Ermitaño deposit in Santa Elena, Sonora.
At the end of the quarter, a total of 45,271 tons of mineralized material grading 4.0 g / t gold and 41 g / t silver were placed in surface reserves.
Over the next several months, First Majestic Silver anticipates that initial batch test processing will begin at the Santa Elena processing plant.
At the Ermitaño project, the ventilation circuit for an underground operation, linking the West and East ramps, was completed at the end of November 2020.
Likewise, according to the Mexican Mining Chamber (Camimex), on the surface, the construction of the power transmission line and the space for temporary diesel generators was completed.
The land use permit was received in January 2021.
For 2021, it has budgeted 42.1 million dollars to prepare the initial production in the second half of the year, for another subsequent increase in production at the beginning of 2022.
