Supply and logistics

Mexico faces growing domestic demand for key food products from the United States. This relationship responds to the agricultural complementarity between the two countries. In addition, the Mexican food industry depends on these inputs. Geographic proximity facilitates efficient and rapid trade compared to, for example, imports from Brazil.

In sum, Mexico imported agricultural products from the United States worth US$30.191 billion in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 6 percent.
