Nike’s earnings in China fell in fiscal 2025 to their lowest level in eight years, to $1.602 billion.
This result corresponds to earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT). The fiscal year ended last May 31. And China is identified as Greater China (People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan).
The peak of Nike’s earnings in China in the same period occurred in 2021, when its BAII was $3.243 billion.
Nike is the world’s largest seller of athletic footwear and apparel. Its net income in 2025 declined at a year-on-year rate of 43.5% to $3,219 million.
Nike’s earnings in China
With revenue of $6,586 million in fiscal 2025, Nike is engaged in the design, development, marketing and sale of sporting goods. Its portfolio includes footwear, apparel, equipment, accessories and services.
The company uses different distribution channels. On the one hand, Nike Direct stands out, which includes its own stores and digital platforms. The latter are known as “Nike Brand Digital”. On the other hand, it markets its products through wholesale accounts. These accounts include independent distributors, licensees and sales representatives. Together, they allow Nike to reach almost every country in the world.
