A total of 13,469 Simplified Joint-Stock Companies (SAS) were created in Mexico over an 11-month period, from September 2025 to July 2026.
The SAS corporate framework encourages the creation of new companies through electronic means and completely free of charge, adapting to the needs of entrepreneurs.
Simplified Joint-Stock Companies
According to the Ministry of Economy, in order to strengthen the SAS system and meet the demand for this legal framework, several improvements were made to enhance its technological functionality. This streamlined the process of forming SASs, thereby improving the user experience for citizens on the platform.

To form a Simplified Joint-Stock Company, all shareholders must have a valid e.firma. Additionally, one of them must obtain online authorization for the company name and ensure the company does not exceed the maximum legal annual revenue limit.
Regarding the corporate profile, participants may not exercise control or make decisions in other business entities. This initiative aims to eliminate informality, streamline administrative procedures for microenterprises, and lay a solid foundation for their future corporate development.
With regard to obligations, it is essential to publish key information in the Electronic Publication System for Business Entities: contracts with the sole shareholder, notices of shareholders’ meetings, annual financial statements, as well as the notice of paid-in capital and any changes thereto.
Finally, shareholders must pay the full amount for their shares within one year, properly maintain the corporate registry, and are required to convert the company to another corporate form if its revenue exceeds the permitted limits.
