The company Ollamani signed contracts with FIFA regarding Banorte Stadium for the 2026 World Cup.
These agreements involve Fútbol del Distrito Federal, S.A. de C.V. and pertain to the use of Banorte Stadium as a venue for soccer matches during this year’s World Cup.
The clauses established and specified various rights and obligations of the parties related to the use of the property, as well as the allocation of access rights linked to the holders of 99-year access and seat usage rights.
FIFA Contracts Regarding the Banorte Stadium
In accordance with the provisions of an addendum, a Ticket Allocation Agreement was implemented as a specific mechanism to regulate the allocation of tickets related to holders of access and usage rights for boxes and general admission seating.
Under the terms of a contract, a performance bond was issued in the amount of $46,722,030. The purpose of this bond is to guarantee the payment obligations assumed by FDF toward FIFA. These obligations arise from the allocation of tickets linked to holders of access and usage rights for boxes and general admission seating.
In order to fulfill its obligation to FIFA, Ollamani has a plan to market hospitality packages, food, and beverages at Banorte Stadium.
If the sale of these packages is unsuccessful, Ollamani will explore various options to fulfill its commitments to FIFA. These options include approving a capital increase and/or securing financing for this purpose.
Renovation
In 2025, Ollamani continued the comprehensive renovation of Banorte Stadium, a project that began in the second half of 2024. The goal is to meet the international standards required by FIFA. This will allow the stadium to serve as an official host venue for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
During this period, progress was made on the modernization of the playing field, stadium access points, bleachers, hospitality areas, lighting system, audio system, security and signage systems, as well as the installation of new technological, energy-efficient, and environmentally sustainable features.
By the end of 2025, the project had recorded a cumulative investment of 2.3357 billion pesos. Furthermore, the final stages of the project are expected to be completed during the first half of 2026. This will allow for the stadium’s full reopening before the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Banorte Stadium had a capacity of 81,070 spectators. The venue features amenity zones, hospitality areas, and VIP spaces that include private suites and executive boxes, the result of the renovation carried out in 2016.
