The size of the global enterprise quantum computing market will register a compound annual growth rate of 29.7%, according to projections by Allied Market Research.

This consultancy valued the referred market at $1.3 billion in 2020. With its forecast, it will reach $18.3 billion in 2030.

Enterprise Quantum Computing

Quantum computers can generate and distinguish probability distributions that classical computers cannot handle efficiently.

According to IONQ, INC. quantum circuits make it possible to capture complex internal structures in data more efficiently.

Thus, quantum machine learning could outperform classical and strengthen it when combined. Potential applications include financial risk analysis, natural language processing, and classification of data such as images or chemical structures.

Although quantum computing still represents a small part of the global high-performance market, its potential is beginning to make a difference. Little by little, this technology is emerging as the gateway to applications that traditional systems cannot solve.

Quantum computers do not compete with classical processors. Rather, they complement them. But their advantage lies in what they can achieve: complex calculations and scenarios that cannot be solved today with current architectures.

Computing Solutions

According to Grand View Research, the high-performance computing market was valued at $39.1 billion in 2019. Moreover, it is projected to reach $53.6 billion by 2027. Within that projection, quantum computing is starting to gain traction and attract strategic investments.

Quantum computing is expected to bring value in various applications and industries. Rigetti Computing believes that many of the major benefits in these areas will come from four types of computational problems particularly suited to quantum computing: optimization, machine learning, simulation, and simulation of quantum mechanical systems.

Quantum Computing Inc. is betting big on the transformative power of quantum technology. According to the company, its solutions could mark a before and after in key sectors such as medicine, engineering, autonomous vehicles, energy and cybersecurity.

Demand in these fields is growing fast. And everything indicates that quantum computing will overtake general-purpose universal systems in the short and medium term. For many experts, this trend will continue on the foreseeable horizon.
