Coca-Cola FEMSA’s dominance increased in the world in 2024, as a proportion of Coca-Cola system sales volume.

A subsidiary of Mexico’s FEMSA, Coca-Cola FEMSA is the largest bottler of Coca-Cola brand beverages on a global scale.

The Coca-Cola Company is a leading U.S. multinational beverage company. It operates in more than 200 countries and offers more than 500 brands, including Coca-Cola, Sprite and Fanta. Its model combines global production, iconic marketing and partnerships with local bottlers.

Coca-Cola FEMSA’s dominance

During 2024, Coca-Cola FEMSA’s sales volume represented approximately 12.5% of the Coca-Cola system’s worldwide volume. 

Coca-Cola FEMSA stands out for its broad distribution network, strong presence in Latin America, operational efficiency, and leadership in beverage sales. In addition, it drives innovation, sustainability and digitalization, supported by its strategic relationship with The Coca-Cola Company.

Coca-Cola FEMSA’s share of total Coca-Cola system sales volume worldwide is as follows:

  • 2019: 11.1.
  • 2020: 11.3.
  • 2021: 11.0
  • 2022: 11.5.
  • 2023: 12.2.
  • 2024: 12.5.

Internationalization

Coca-Cola FEMSA produces and distributes Coca-Cola brand beverages, offering a broad portfolio of brands to nearly 276 million consumers every day. 

With more than 93,000 employees, the company markets and sells around 4.2 billion unit cases per year through approximately 2.2 million points of sale. 

The company operates 56 bottling plants and 256 distribution centers. It is committed to generating economic, social, and environmental value for all of its stakeholders throughout the value chain. 

The company operates in territories in the following countries: 

  • Mexico (an important part of central Mexico, the southeast and northeast of Mexico). 
  • Guatemala.
  • Nicaragua.
  • Costa Rica
  • Panama
  • Colombia (most of the country). 
  • Brazil (a large part of the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais, the states of Paraná, Santa Catarina and Mato Grosso do Sul and Rio Grande do Sul and part of the states of Rio de Janeiro and Goiás). 
  • Argentina (Buenos Aires and the metropolitan area). 
  • Uruguay

Coca-Cola FEMSA also operates in Venezuela through its investment in Coca-Cola FEMSA de Venezuela S.A., or KOF Venezuela.
