The General Administration of Customs (AGA) of Mexico reported this Tuesday that it seized medical tests for Covid-19, thermometers, sunglasses and toys in Guadalajara, Jalisco.

«Stopping the illegal entry of merchandise into our country and combating tax evasion are priority tasks of the Government of Mexico», said the general administrator of the AGA, Horacio Duarte Olivares.

According to the official report, on November 15 AGA personnel prevented the illegal entry of 10,000 tests for Covid-19, as well as 4,216 thermometers, 1,435 sunglasses, 619 assembling toys and ornaments from a flight from Tijuana, Baja California.

The products did not prove the legal stay in the country and were made available to the staff of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).
