Automotive and aeronautical sectors of Mexico will open by chains

The automotive and aeronautical sectors will open by chains, not by regions or municipalities, said Francisco Cervantes, president of the Confederation of the Industrial Chamber of Mexico (Concamin).

Despite its diversity, exports from the manufacturing sector continue to depend largely on the automotive industry and related industries, although the aeronautical industry has been developing rapidly in recent years.

«We are possibly thinking of restarting on May 17 in municipalities without COVID, where they do not have a neighborhood with municipalities that have affected people,» said President Andrés Manuel López Obrador last week.
