Founded in Viano, Italy, in 1980, E80 Group began its journey under the leadership of Enrico Grassi, the company’s founder and current president.
“E80 Group has a staff of 300 engineers in Monterrey, through whom it provides distribution center automation services throughout Mexico and all of North America,” said Lorenzo Vianello, president of the Mexico-Italy Bilateral Business Committee of the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment, and Technology (Comce).
In addition, the company collaborates with several universities, including the Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Vianello announced that the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico will honor the founder of E80 Group this year. The award will be presented in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Mexico.
Industry 4.0
E80 Group pioneered the early concepts of what would later become known as Industry 4.0. In 1992, it delivered an innovative Smart Factory for Costerplast. This fully automated and interconnected production plant represented a significant milestone in the evolution of intralogistics.
