PACCAR’s investments total more than US$1 billion since the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) came into force, according to information from the company itself.

Since the USMCA came into effect, PACCAR has invested in the expansion of US factories, new equipment, and technology

PACCAR has also made significant investments related to suppliers to support capacity expansion in the United States and has made additional investment commitments in that country over the next three years. 

PACCAR investments

The company’s recent and ongoing projects include:

  • Expansion of truck manufacturing capacity at the Peterbilt truck plant in Denton, Texas.
  • Advanced technology assembly line at the Peterbilt truck plant in Denton, Texas.
  • Expansion of truck manufacturing capacity at the Kenworth truck plant in Chillicothe, Ohio.
  • New cab painting facility at the Kenworth truck plant in Chillicothe, Ohio.
  • Expansion of chassis painting capacity at the Kenworth truck plant in Chillicothe, Ohio.
  • Expansion of axle welding at the Kenworth truck plant in Chillicothe, Ohio.
  • Increased advanced multi-color paint capacity at the Kenworth truck plant in Renton, Washington.
  • Increased engine manufacturing capacity at the PACCAR engine plant in Columbus, Mississippi.
  • Capacity expansion at the Dynacraft component plants in Louisville, Kentucky, and McKinney, Texas.
  • New ultra-low NOx and fuel-efficient engines to meet 2024 and 2027 emissions standards.
  • A state-of-the-art truck-specific battery cell manufacturing plant in Byhalia, Mississippi.
  • New parts distribution centers in Kentucky, Nevada, and Pennsylvania.

Mexican production

During the same period, PACCAR’s foreign competitors launched or expanded their operations in Mexico for the U.S. market.
