Querétaro Intermodal Terminal invests in energy solutions

The Querétaro Intermodal Terminal (TIQ) reported this Tuesday that it made investments in state-of-the-art technological equipment for the transfer of refined fuels (RFTL), such as diesel, ethanol and gasoline, in operations from rail cars to specialized trucks.

By integrating more efficient solutions in the transfer of gasoline shipments, terminal services ensure a more agile and sustainable distribution to service stations within the state of Querétaro, as well as supply to regions of Guanajuato and Michoacán.

«The Querétaro Intermodal Terminal, a 100% Queretaro company, is convinced that fuel has a very good future in view of the need to meet the energy demand of the center of the country. For this reason, it has drawn up a plan with great success, to attend with adequate transfer technologies, the growth of rail traffic, increasing efficiency and the sustainable use of resources,» said TIQ in a statement.

With this, the facilities of the Querétaro Intermodal Terminal have positioned themselves as a key hydrocarbon transfer point in the states near Querétaro.

«Transfer operations are at an extremely attractive time with the normalization of regular train traffic and with new growth prospects,» added TIQ.

The new Fuel Transfer System will allow the transfer of up to 300 gallons per minute (GPM) to trailers, through 100% safe operations.

Technological innovations incorporate the internet of things, through remote computerized programming, allowing the dispatch of pre-established volumes, maintaining transaction records, printing shipping invoices and other remote control options.

The system, manufactured with pipes for cold flow, allows the elimination of gas and particle emissions. In addition, a flow control valve closes in an emergency and activates a preset safety protocol.

«The Querétaro Intermodal Terminal reaffirms its vocation as an essential transfer node for the movement of raw materials and products to the metropolitan area of Querétaro, offering increasingly complex and efficient solutions, guaranteeing competitiveness and respecting natural resources at the same time. and the environment,” the TIQ said.
