Orla Mining plans more drilling in mining project in Mexico

Orla Mining reported that it plans more drilling at a mining project in Zacatecas, Mexico, predominantly for gold and silver.

It is being developed by the Red Path Oxide Gold Project and has begun a regional 6,000 meter reverse circulation drilling program to test geophysical induced polarization anomalies in three areas.

Orla Mining plans an additional 3,000 meter diamond drilling to follow up on any significant mineralization found.

The company is conducting mechanical trenches in an area where hydrothermal disturbances were found in rocky outcrops, with nine of 10 trenches completed.

Orla also plans a 5,000 meter diamond drilling program in the fourth quarter of 2020 to support the next stage of metallurgical testing on the 7.3 million ounces of gold in sulfide material (measured and indicated mineral resource of 258.8 Mt at 0.88 g/t Au).

The company is developing the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Project, an advanced heap leaching and open pit gold and silver leaching project located in the state of Zacatecas, central Mexico.

The project is 100% owned by Orla and covers more than 160,000 hectares.

Orla Mining appointed Sylvain Guerard Senior Vice President of Exploration effective August 24, 2020.
