Navistar Mexico wins the 2020 National Export Award

Navistar Mexico won the 2020 National Export Award in the Large Industrial Exporting Companies category.

First, its parent company, Navistar International Corporation, is an international manufacturer of International brand commercial trucks, proprietary diesel engines, and IC Bus (IC) brand school and commercial buses.

This parent company is also a supplier of truck and diesel engine parts, in addition to providing retail, wholesale and leasing financing services for its trucks and parts.

Now, Navistar Mexico is a company located in Nuevo León that is dedicated to the production and assembly of heavy and medium trucks and tractors.

Specifically, this subsidiary produces 212 units per day, with a national supply of between 40 and 55% from the United States, having a regional content of more than 90 percent.

In addition, Navistar México generates 4,066 jobs and maintains linkage programs with universities for the development of research and professional practices with continuous improvement programs in the production process.

Óscar Alejandro Ruiz Andraca and José de Jesús Alday Macías received the 2020 National Export Award at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy, in Mexico City.

The export products of this subsidiary are heavy, medium and light trucks and tractors.

While its export markets cover 10 countries, mainly the United States and South America.

Overall, Navistar International’s trucking segment operates four manufacturing and assembly facilities, totaling approximately 5 million square feet of floor space.

Of these four facilities, three are located in the United States and one is located in Mexico.

The spare parts segment rents nine distribution centers in the United States, two in Canada, one in Mexico and one in South Africa.

On the other hand, its Global Operations segment owns and operates a manufacturing plant in Brazil, which contains a total of 1 million square feet of space for use by its engine subsidiaries in South America.
