GAP has a 76.8% drop in traffic at its airports

Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), reported that its 14 airports recorded a decrease in passenger traffic of 76.8%, compared to the same period of the previous year.

Domestic passengers presented a drop of 71.7%, while international passengers decreased 84.0 percent.

Regarding the operations of its 12 Mexican airports, the airlines have already begun to resume and increase the frequencies of their national and international flights.

In Jamaica, with the opening of its borders from June at the airports of Montego Bay and Kingston, international flights land again.

The company operates 12 airports throughout the Pacific region of Mexico, including the main cities such as Guadalajara and Tijuana, four tourist destinations in Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, La Paz and Manzanillo in addition to six other medium-sized cities such as Hermosillo, Guanajuato, Morelia, Aguascalientes, Mexicali and Los Mochis.

In February 2006, the company’s shares were listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol «PAC» and on the Mexican Stock Exchange under the symbol «GAP».

In April 2015, the company acquired 100% of the company Desarrollo de Concesiones Aeroportuarias, S.L., which includes a majority stake in MBJ Airports Limited, a company that operates the Sangster International airport in Montego Bay in Jamaica.

Finally, in October 2018, GAP entered into a concession contract to operate Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica, taking control in October 2019.
